FFChat — Privacy Policy

FFChat ("the App") is a communication application that provides audio/video calling and text messaging. This privacy policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

The App may access the following device capabilities:

Camera — used solely to enable video calls between users.
Microphone — used solely to enable audio during calls.
Network / Internet — used to establish connections for calls and messaging.

The App does not collect, store, or share camera or microphone data beyond the real-time communication session. No recordings are made.

3. How We Use Your Data

Camera and microphone streams are transmitted directly between call participants using peer-to-peer WebRTC connections.
Text messages are transmitted via a WebSocket connection to enable real-time chat.
No personal data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage

Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-provided secure storage. The App does not store message history, call recordings, or media on external servers beyond what is necessary to deliver messages in real time.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use STUN/TURN servers to facilitate peer-to-peer connections. These servers relay network connectivity data only and do not access your camera, microphone, or message content.

6. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

CAMERA — for video calls
RECORD_AUDIO — for audio during calls
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — for connectivity
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS — for audio routing during calls

All permissions are used exclusively for the App's core communication features. You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
